This application uses GPS data and Compass data to ensure that people unfamiliar with the SIU campus will never get lost!

SIU Campus View uses the Tablet's GPS data along with the built-in compass to determine the buildings that are in the user's "field of view". All of these buildings are clickable and searchable inside of the application. This application has two views, the "Map" View and the "Building" View.
The "Map" view shows where the user is located on the map and shows the user's "field of view" along with what buildings the user can see from the current location and direction.
The "Building" view shows the different buildings that the user can see from their current location and direction but on the screen when camera of the tablet is facing the buildings. It shows the names of the buildings that the user can see and, depending where they are, shows them either high or low on the screen and either to the left or the right.
This application also has a built-in search function to enable the user to search for the buildings that they are looking for!
This application will ensure that any new to the SIU campus will not get lost and will be able to find their classrooms and/or buildings in a quick and timely manner! In addition, it will help people become familiar with the SIU campus as a whole!
This application is, and always will be, free to download on the Windows 8 store. If extra revenue is needed to sustain this application is needed, there may be ads that will be added to this application. This application can only be downloaded with those with Windows 8.1, however.
This application is currently on the Windows 8 Store so download it and give some feedback on what you think about it! Also, let us know what other applications you would want to see on the SIU Campus! In addition, development is in the works for an Android version of this application which will be released soon.
