Group communication is a crucial part of the workplace. People who are hearing impaired or deaf
rely heavily on lip reading and facial expressions when communicating. As a result, they have a
difficult time gathering information from conversations where more than one person is talking.
Based on the problem areas that we found in the workplace, we developed a communication eco-system that allows for deaf and hearing impaired individuals to have access to clear and accurate transcriptions of conversations in the workplace. This system increases accessibility and communication for hearing impaired individuals. As an additional benefit this system will enable all users the ability to record and transcribe conversations.
The communication eco-system consist of three components: Smart-Phone and Tablet Application, Conference Room Microphone and SmartBand Recording Device.
Please provide a description of your App in 500-1,000 words. Be sure to include at least 1) what it does, 2) why people will want it (benefits), and 3) how you will sustain it (explain business model).
